Met de Sonor SSE 13 Martini Turquois Galaxy Sparkle haalt u een wel heel compacte drumkit in huis! Maar laat u niet misleiden door zijn formaat, want deze shellset levert absoluut een groots geluid! De Martini Special Edition cocktail shellset bestaat uit een 14 inch bassdrum, 8 inch tom, 13 inch floortom en 12 x 5 inch snaredrum met stalen ketel. Opgelet: deze bijzondere shellset verschijnt in een zeer beperkte oplage!

Sonor SSE 13 Martini Turquois Galaxy Sparkle: kleine set met groot karakter

Deze speciale editie van de Sonor Martini drumkit heeft 9-laags, kruislings gelamineerde ketels van populierenhout. Dit biedt naast de extra stevigheid vooral een bijzonder goede resonantie en uitmuntende klank. Alle ketels zijn voorzien van spanblokken met TuneSafe-systeem, waardoor de spanschroeven stevig op hun plaats blijven en de trommels niet ontstemd zullen raken. Met de meegeleverde bassdrum riser positioneert u de klopper van uw bassdrum pedaal in het midden van uw bassdrumvel. De spanranden van de 14 inch bassdrum zijn voorzien van een naturelkleurige finish, wat het uiterlijk van deze retro-stijl shellset zeker verfraait. Deze aantrekkelijk geprijsde kwaliteit shellset wordt geleverd met Remo drumvellen en STH 274 enkele tom-houder.

Makkelijk vervoeren

I bought this kit specifically to use as a practice set up at home. The space I have for my practice area is quite small, probably around 1 meter wide, so I wanted something to fit into a compact space which I wouldnt have to pack away when not in use and set up each time I wanted to use it. This kit fits perfectly!

Regarding the size of the kit, while I am a big fan of small drum kits and already own a Ludwig Breakbeats, which incidentally is slightly too large to fit into my practice area comfortably, I was worried that this would be too small. I shouldnt have worried, its great! When the kit is set up and you are sitting behind it, it really just feels like a normal sized kit. The snare and small tom feel a bit smaller bit thats all, you get used to that quickly too. Its set up facing the wall so I dont see it from the front, Im sure it still looks tiny from that angle.

I have set this up with Remos SilentStroke heads on it and use it with Zildjian Low Volume 13 hi hats and an 18 crash-ride. Its such a good practice set up, I really love it. I wish these things had been about many moons ago, when I was a teenager practicing in my parent house! Practicing is now fun again.

I cant hit real drum(heads) at home (I live in a flat), so I set this up with the mesh heads straight away so I didnt get to play it with the real stock heads. I tapped them a bit. I suspect it would be fun to play with real heads but I think there would be a very limited tuning range. Itd probably be one of those love it or hate it type of kits. I play and practice predominantly jazz style things, its perfect for that, I dont think the heavy hitting rock kids would be keen on this kit.

The finish on the kit is stunning, much better in the flesh than in photos and the quality of hardware is the standard youd expect from Sonor, its really excellent. The snare strainer is a bit cheap, but for my use it makes no difference.

I wasnt too sure about buying this at first but am so glad I did. Ive looked out some old lesson books and started on them already. Practice is fun again, yeah!
