Met de G5N uit de Larry Carlton lijn van Sire heb je een elektrisch-akoestische nylonsnarige gitaar met een prettige thinline bodydikte in handen. Om je dat zoetere klassieke en/of Spaanse geluid van nylon snaren te bieden, is deze dunnere akoestische gitaar voorzien van een massief cederhouten bovenblad. Dit wordt aangevuld met een achterblad, zijkanten en een solide geschroefde mahoniehouten hals met een plezant afgeronde Edgeless toets van palissander, die een warm accent toevoegen aan de totaalklank.

Larry Carlton G5N: vertrouwd klassiek gitaarspel zonder feedback

Deze nylonsnarige G5 gitaar is speciaal ontworpen voor comfortabel spelen en moeiteloos uitversterken. Naast de aangenaam dunne body heeft deze Larry Carlton nylon string een hals met een C-profiel, die gemakkelijk en vertrouwd aanvoelt in je greephand. Voor versterking zonder hinderlijke feedback is deze slanke akoestische Sire gitaar uitgerust met een piëzo-element in combinatie met een Vividx-N voorversterker, inclusief een veelzijdige 3-bands EQ en fase-schakelaar.

Sire Larry Carlton G5N Natural Satin elektrisch-akoestische nylonsnarige gitaar

Op zoek naar een nylon string guitar voor jamsessies in een relatief kleine ruimte botste ik op de Sire G5N, wat een mooi instrument. De hals is perfect, de klank mooi met het typische piezo gevoel. Ik heb deze vergeleken met het, in mijn ogen referentie instrument van Godin….conclusie : evengoed voor minder dan de helft van de prijs. De afwerking staat, zoals bij alle Sire instrumenten op een uitzonderlijk hoog niveau. Een aanrader voor zij die een acoustic electric guitar willen spelen zonder last te hebben van feedback, typische bij klankkast guitaren.

Ondertussen ben ik naar de winkel in Amsterdam geweest met de gitaar alwaar ik zeer goed geholpen ben. Ik kreeg een gratis afstelbeurt en het probleem met de snaren is verholpen. Ik speel nu met veel plezier op deze gitaar.

Ik vind het een mooi afgewerkte gitaar met een mooi geluid. De reden dat ik drie sterren geef is dat de A-snaar aanloopt als ik een open C-akkoord speel ,dus misschien moet ik ermee terug maar eerst wil ik de snaren vervangen om te horen of het daaraan ligt , want volgens mij is de A-snaar wat ouder.
