Plus- en minpunten

  • De actieve preamp biedt uitgebreide mogelijkheden wat toon betreft.
  • Deze bas werd in Duitsland zeer accuraat afgesteld met een volautomatische PLEK-machine die werkt met een volledige scan van hals, toets en frets.
  • Er is geen koffer in de prijs inbegrepen.

Algemeen

Al op het eerste gezicht valt het op: deze Lakland Skyline 55-02 Custom Black Sparkle Gloss 5-snarige bas straalt klasse uit. De essen body kreeg een Black Sparkle Gloss finish die samen met de ebbenhouten toets met block inlays en de matching headstock voor een stoere look zorgt. De esdoorn hals heeft 22 frets van nieuwzilver die stuk voor stuk perfect afgelijnd werden. Dat gebeurde in Duitsland door W-Distribution, zij gebruikten daarvoor een PLEK-machine die werkt met laser-gecontroleerde scans. Hiermee wordt de volledige hals minutieus afgesteld, wat zowel de intonatie, het speelcomfort als de stabiliteit enorm bevordert. 

Strakke toon, perfecte controle

De actieve actieve Lakland LH3 voorversterker in deze basgitaar biedt 3-bands toonregeling en wordt gevoed door twee elementen. Bij de brug is dat een Lakland LH55 Quad Coil Soapbar die een erg strak geluid met veel definitie en punch bijdraagt. Het halselement is een Lakland LH55 Dual Coil die wat extra laag toevoegt en ook gekend is voor zijn clean sound zonder ongewenst gezoem. De combinatie van al deze elementen geeft deze basgitaar een erg veelzijdige sound waarmee je zowat alle muziek- en speelstijlen aankan. Met de toggle switch en vijf potmeters op de body behoud je ook ten allen tijde de volledige controle over je geluid.
