Net als de viersnarige modellen is ook deze 5-snarige Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones Signature Natural Gloss ontworpen met Darryl Jones als inspiratie, de bassist die in de voetsporen van Bill Wyman mocht treden bij The Rolling Stones. De essen body lijkt op die van de 55-60 Lakland bassen, maar kreeg meer gewelfde contouren en iets meer uitgesproken cutaways. De Natural Gloss combineert mooi met de zwarte slagplaat en zorgt voor een vintage rock ‘n roll look, met als finishing touch de chrome hardware en zwarte block inlays op de esdoorn toets. De hals is eveneens van esdoorn en werd met lasergestuurde precisie afgesteld bij W-Distribution in Duitsland. Dat deden ze met een PLEK-machine, die werkt volautomatisch aan de hand van een gedetailleerde scan, met een zo goed als perfecte intonatie tot gevolg. Ook de stabiliteit en het speelcomfort liggen hierdoor ontzettend hoog.
Plus- en minpunten
- Deze bas werd in Duitsland zeer accuraat afgesteld met een volautomatische PLEK-machine die werkt met een volledige scan van hals, toets en frets.
