Fazley FST-DIY-SB elektrische gitaar bouwpakket

I'm a drummer, but wanted to get a cheap guitar for strumming and to learn some chords. Bax have these occasionally on offer so I picked one up for a good price (it was cheaper than a used ones!).

Build was easy following instructions easily found online - it took me a couple of hours. If you can build flatpack furniture you should be fine with this. You'll need basic tools (screwdrivers, spanners, pliers etc). Some tips - the screws look to be JIS rather than Phillips, so order a set of JIS screwdrivers if you haven't got any otherwise you'll mangle the heads (and they'll look ugly). You'll also need a soldering iron for soldering the ground wire and jack socket. Another tip - the black wire needs to be soldered to the jack socket earth/ring connection otherwise you'll get a bad buzzing sound.

Setting up was easy again following various YouTube videos (but use a decent set of Allen keys - not the provided ones - for doing the string height and truss rod). It seems to stay in tune too with the provided strings (but I've got a better set to install sometime - did the first stringing with the provided ones in case I messed up).

Overall, for the price I paid, I'm very happy with it.
