RAW Vintage by Xotic RV-5760 Non-Aged Nickel Cover humbucker Fender brug
Now their humbuckers, specially once with cover, are known to be vintage sounding PAF replicas.
This is acquired taste and asks for good environment to bring good results.
On Fender type guitars people often go with hotter modern pickups. While actually PAF sounding pickups sound epic in bridge position on the strat and neck position on the tele.
But there is another type of the guitars where this F spaced (53mm) humbucker fits great regarding to string spacing, look and feel and sound as well. PRS SE guitars. Lot of them come with OK pickups but if you hot rod them with G spaced neck and F space bridge you will be welcomed with new dimension. While changing pickups replace electronics to with something made in USA. Do not forget input jack and toggle switch.
Once with Raw Vintage pickups this guitar sound and feel like way more expensive instruments.
Value point is up to you of course.
Great sounding vintage output PAF replica.
Please note that DC resistance varies a bit and can be anywhere from 7,9k to 8,1k. That is again era correct feature :) Guess scatter wounding process was never really perfectly accurate but does sound great.
Please note that if you are using this pickups on the stage with a wall of amps this pickups are normally not potted. That is one of the reason why they sound like early PAF models. They sound brighter and more natural but could catch some pickup squeal when sound levels are at ear drum popping levels.
Considering that most of the people that do big arenas use silent cabs under the stage and in ear monitoring this is not that of the issue.
People using real amps for the amplification should not be have issue. If you play for your self this has no weight anyways.
On the other side for me non potted humbuckers sound so much better. Low output once.
