Algemeen

De omni-directionele TC20 van Earthworks is een microfoon die ontworpen is voor de luidste instrumenten zoals drums, percussie of versterkte instrumenten. Deze set is een “matched pair” waarbij beide microfoons exact op elkaar afgestemd zijn. Je zult het maximale volume dat deze microfoon aankan niet snel bereiken, hij heeft namelijk een SPL rating van maar liefst 150 decibel. Hij heeft ook geen last van het zogeheten ‘proximity effect’ dus je kan op zeer korte afstand opnemen. Doordat hij een omni-directionele richtingskarakteristiek heeft, neemt hij vanuit alle richtingen evenveel geluid op. Dit maakt hem ook ideaal als overhead of room microfoon. Zijn ruime frequentiebereik zorgt ervoor dat hij alle details waarheidsgetrouw weet op te nemen.
