Muse Kinetics (formerly Keith McMillen) is known as a manufacturer of products that can take a beating. The K-Board C is no exception. Small MIDI keyboards are nothing new, but most models can be somewhat sensitive to rough handling. Or rather: rough transport, somewhere at the bottom of a bag. A button can get damaged, or a key can break off. With a K-Board, you won't have that problem; this keyboard features pad-style keys, and the same applies to the other keys. A very nice feature is its support for MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression), allowing you to add expression per key. Moreover, this C version uses USB-C as the connector—making this robust little keyboard completely up-to-date. A real keyboard for 'on the road'. So if that is your application, this is definitely an investment worth considering.
