Apple biedt u de mogelijkheid uw iPad extra bescherming mee te geven wanneer u bijvoorbeeld op pad gaat of wilt voorkomen dat het beeldscherm beschadigt. Met deze moderne licht grijze Smart Cover kunt u onbezorgd gebruikmaken van uw iPad en deze beschermd meenemen. Het zeer gevoelige beeldscherm wordt namelijk goed beschermd door de magnetische Smart Cover. De magneten hebben twee functies. De eerste functie is het zorgen dat de Smart Cover goed op zijn plaats blijft zitten, zowel wanneer deze gesloten op uw iPad ligt als wanneer u hem als standaard gebruikt. Ten tweede zorgt het magnetisme ervoor dat de sluimerstand ingeschakeld wordt wanneer u Smart Cover sluit en de iPad weer actief wordt wanneer hem opent. De Smart Cover is ook nog voorzien van een zachte voering van microvezel, wat ervoor zorgt dat het beeldscherm vuil- en stofvrij blijft.
