Le Moog Subharmonicon existait déjà en 2018, mais cette version avait été réservée qu'aux participants aux ateliers du Moogfest. Heureusement, la firme a décidé de développer également une version qui est accessible à tout le monde. Le Subharmonicon est similaire Mother-32, puisqu'il peut être installé dans les racks conçus spécifiquement pour ce dernier. Ce synthétiseur possède de nombreux contrôles et un panneau de patch complet. À l'image des autres modèles signés Moog, il produit un son analogique et bien chaud.
Moog Subharmonicon : notes polyrythmiques
Le Subharmonicon se distingue surtout par ses deux séquenceurs polyrythmiques. Ces derniers n'offrent chacun que deux pas, mais il vous est bien possible d'utiliser deux séquences en même temps. De plus, vous pouvez ajuster individuellement le tempo des deux séquenceurs. En résulte des motifs polyrythmiques qui utilisent plusieurs rythmes qui jouent simultanément pour créer des phrases complexes et entrelacées.

Wat een geweldig synthesizer. Een heel warm geluid. De synth is na een paar keer gebruiken goed te begrijpen. Je kan na een paar keer een oefenen er prachtige geluiden uit krijgen. De synth wel gebuiken met onder ander een Moog DFAM of andere drumcomputers. Een pluspunt is de midi aansluiting.

Everything about this shows quality and craftsmanship - the packaging, manual, overlays as well as the module itself. But switching it on shows just how incredible it is - oscillators and filter sound great but it’s the fascinating polyrhythms and sequences that it produces that make it so unique. Not a typical synth by any means but for anyone looking for something different - and a Moog to boot - this is well worth checking out.

Prachtig instrument. Omdat ik online veel geluiden hoorde over dat dit een moeilijk instrument is om te begrijpen en te gebruiken om muziek mee te maken, heb ik lang nagedacht en onderzocht of het bij me zou passen. De fascinatie bleef en heb de sprong gewaagd. Eenmaal door de eerste frustraties heen, ben ik zo ongelooflijk blij met dit apparaat van Moog. Het is gebruiken om interessante dynamische loops mee te maken die niet vervelen, om met een ander instrument eroverheen te spelen. Maar ook zeker als stand-alone synth. Tip: begin simpel met 1+- oct en in 8-ET en stel een polyritme van een bestaande patch in. Experimenteer vanuit daar verder. Voorkomt een hoop frustratie.

This is the most amazing piece of synthesiser gear I own. You really need to spend time with it and read the manual especially the tour part. I have just basically spent the last three days playing with this thing and it continues to impress me. I love the Moog sound and their ladder filter and this is a band in a box. I absolutely love the way it harmonisers the two oscillators and 4 sub oscillators no matter what sequencer step tuning you have. It’s a genius invention and I can now see how it is such a great performance instrument. I understand why reviewers have said they pick it up and realise hours have passed! As far as I know there is nothing like it. It’s worth every penny and I salute Moog for giving to us. I absolutely recommend the Subharmonicon even if it’s the only synthesiser you own. I think this will remain a classic long after Moog stop making it.

Beautiful box!
My first and only synth, for now. But it's very intuitive, unpredictable, surprising and confusing.. there's many patches available online so you'll never get stuck.
It can do bass and leads with ease, but would work better with another box like DFAM or the Minitaur and some effects.
Very happy with this purchase!

Wat een apparaat! Wederom een apparaat waar je mee blijft spelen. Gecombineerd met de DFAM en Mother is het helemaal feest. Al spelend en experimenterend kom je veel bruikbare geluiden en grooves tegen. Plug and play doe je de subharmonicon geen recht, gun je zelf de tijd om het te ontdekken. Ben er zelf erg tevreden mee, ik blijf verrast worden. Natuurlijk is de bestelling en levering door BAX goed geregeld. Een uitdagend apparaat en zeker een aanrader voor live-geëxperimenteer.

Down the rabbithole and into the Moog-world of opportunities! Net een week binnen om de set Moog semi-modulars compleet te maken. Bizar, wat een geluiden en ritmes. Van subtiel tot aggressief, dromerig tot freaky. De polyphony kan soms wat overweldigend zijn, maar is te hanteren. RTFM is een must om alles eruit te halen, maar de manual is zeer vriendelijk geschreven. Nog veel te ontdekken...

Dit ding heeft een volledig eigen karakter. De meest gekke akkoorden en polyritmes kun je met dit ding krijgen met een handomdraai krijgen.
Ook een echte jam machine. Met wat draaien aan de knoppen kom je snel uit op een mooie patch. En het is natuurlijk een Moog. Goede bouwkwaliteit en de sound die uniek is aan Moog.
Ik moet wel zeggen dat ik iets te vaak hetzelfde 'geluid' uit de Subharmonicon vind komen, al kan dan dat misschien zijn vanwege de manier waarop ik patch.

Echt een geweldig ding. Net als de DFAM niet bepaald conventioneel maar oh wat zit het weer goed in elkaar.
Het loont om de gebruiksaanwijzing te lezen. Voor je het weet maak je de meest interessante akkoord clusters en polyrhytms :) Gewoon super tof die Subharmonicon!
