I love Hipshot, Kluson old Schaller and also Gotoh etc all good in their own way
GraphTech Ratio are the only significant development in guitar tuning in 50+ years. Believe me the change is significant and will inevitably be adopted by all makers eventually.
Each string and therefore each tuner has a different RATIO to compensate for the strings core thickness. Clearly in say a set of 10 - 44 the bottom E is four times thicker than the top E so it makes sense that the ratio is higher for the bottom E (don't forget higher ratio means more accurate tuning as it turns slower). All strings have very well calculated, and VERY different ratios.
This is NOT a gimmick - it's very useful and revolutionary.
With regard to the tuners, they are top quality, smooth and accurate. They come in locking (like mine) non locking, lovely Strat / Tele split post Waffle Back open gear - stunning - and come in Gold, Chrome, Nickel and I believe, Black.
They are not cheap , mine were £150.00 but they are an essential part of a £2,000 guitar.
Hmm! Some PRS are five times this.
ALSO, each set comes with four sets of matching plates so you never have to modify your guitar 🎸
What are they like?
Revolutionary.

Stable accurate (spooky) tuning is now a right not a bonus - brilliant.
